High School: Breadth
All of the works featured below were created during my high school days at San Francisco University High School. In fact, many of my proudest artistic accomplishments are included in this collection. While I often work in series, making pieces unified by a shared theme, these disparate sculptures do not share a central theme. Instead, this assemblage is meant to demonstrate the formal diversity of my high school work.

As an artist, I often feel that my art lacks creative spontaneity. This sentiment is especially pronounced whenever I am working on a series of work that explores a constant theme. I usually view the first work in a series as an organic creation, however as I continue working on the series, I begin to see the subsequent artworks as less genuine than their predecessors. I believe this is why I always enjoy looking back at this particular collection of work; every piece is unique, an invaluable representation of a former me.
